The Welfare Department at EHRS is extremely busy to meet the demands of the community. We offer practical and emotional support, advice and advocacy and where possible support people through life’s more challenging times, for example those suffering from poor mental health, physical illness and frailties, disability, dementia, loss, grief, loneliness and isolation. We offer guidance, support and information on all aspects of welfare and social care.
A vacancy exists for the position of finance assistant within the EHRS administration team.
The candidate should be numerate, experienced in using Sage Line 50 Accounting and in using Microsoft Excel to a reasonable standard.
The role includes various aspects of book-keeping, including purchase ledger, bank reconciliation, payroll (liaising with the payroll bureau), payment of suppliers via online banking, petty cash and various reporting to keep departments and trustees informed.
You would be working in a small team with the inhouse accountant and another finance assistant who is mainly responsible for membership accounting.
