CUBS - A snowy weekend at camp
It was a cold winter’s weekend in early December when 3rd Edgware Cubs joined forces with our friends at 2nd and 5th Edgware to go camping (indoors of course) in the snow! We started the weekend with a giant snow fight. Of course as all the Cubs are so well behaved none of them threw snowballs at the leaders! Next we had traditional Friday night dinner of hot dogs with a nice warming vegetable soup.
On Saturday we had a snowman building competition, played capture the flag, went on the rolling rock (a giant climbing wall that rolls so you can climb up forever!).
We also did an activity called crate stacking where you have to stand on a giant stack of milk crates and try your best not to fall off whilst your team help you get higher and higher! King Louis (Adam Franklin) made a nice hot spagbol for dinner and then we fell asleep to Saturday Night at the Movies.
On Sunday we were so tired that the leaders had to wake us up! After eggy bread for breakfast we raced on the go-karts and then had a competition on the assault course. After lunch we packed up our wet and muddy kit and helped with the best bit - the cleaning! The parents came at 3pm and took us home for a well needed bath and bed.
