As the summer draws to an end plans are already in motion for a brand new year at EDRSYC. Our youth clubs kick off in a just a couple of weeks.
EDRS Youth Centre is open SUNDAYS 12.30pm-9pm for everyone in school years 4-6 & 7-10.
Our term dates are:
September 7th and 14th
October 12th & 19th
November 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th
Drop in and out and stay for as long as you like!
Join in with a vast amount of different activities throughout the afternoon and evening or just hangout and chill with friends.
Each week you can choose from different activities to take part in from a Drama Project, Art installation, Kickboxing, Secret Cinema or even bringing your instruments and having a jamming session. (some activities will be for specific ages)
Don’t like the sound of that and just want to be here chilling with friends? That’s ok too; PS3, Wii, Air Hockey, Pool, Table Tennis, Football, basketball, Hot and Cold Tuck shop and even space and computers to do your homework (if you want to).
With different options every single week there is something for everyone!
And we are not forgetting about those in school years reception-3 either!
Once a month we will have a special one off activity just for you from an afternoon of clowning skills to art, music and drama club. Keep you eyes peeled for your special Hineini invitations.
As well as our weekly activities we have our annual Family Sukkah Decorating Party will be taking place on TUESDAY 7TH OCTOBER 4.30-6pm, fun for all the family. This term we also have our Family Super Quiz, Mitzvah Day, Chnaukah fun day and lots more. Don’t Miss Out!
If you are in school year 9+ we also have someone extra for you… Hadracha (leadership) course. Are you interested in being a leader at clubs or summer camp? Or maybe an assistant at Sunday classes? Ever wondered how youth workers come up with the crazy ideas for sessions?
Well you could be part of the future team at EDRS!
EDRS’ Hadracha training course trains young people in school years 9+ to be able to volunteer within EDRS clubs, play schemes, classes and other one off activities.
The course covers various aspects of Youth Work, Teaching and Leadership and not only develops knowledge of these areas and practice, but allows individuals to build life skills including confidence, communication, planning and presentation.
Hadracha at EDRS is a great skill and counts towards awards such as DofE, Yoni Jesner and Vinspired.
We very much look forward to seeing you all at activities this year
