Boris, bagels and borscht at EDRS
Over 70 people enjoyed a delightful Sunday afternoon reminiscing together about their lives in the Jewish East End
They brought pictures and mementos from their past and visited an exhibition of photos courtesy of the Jewish Museum.
Michael Bennett, the son of Boris the famous East End photographer, regaled people about his father’s colourful past and the audience recalled their memories of Boris as well.
Everyone tucked into bagels, borscht and cream tea and scones while David Rose and Barbara Shapiro sang songs in Yiddish and others such as 'The White Cliffs of Dover'.
Everyone there had a fabulous time and asked for more events like this.
